Kay Julie Ingraham's Obituary
Kay Julie Ingraham, lovingly known as Julie or Ma, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at the age of 89. She was born on February 18, 1936, in Deland, Florida, to Alice Russell Lange and Virgil Russell.
Julie was preceded in death by the absolute love of her life, her devoted husband, Overton “Obbie” Ingraham, and her beloved sister, Tamara Murphy
As the wife of an Army soldier, Julie embodied strength, courage, and resilience. She traveled with her family to many posts across the United States and abroad, often managing moves and raising four small children on her own while her husband served. Though the challenges were many, her determination and steadfast love carried her family through.
Family was always at the center of Julie’s life. She took great joy in caring for her loved ones, crocheting keepsakes, feeding the birds who visited her yard, and spending quiet, cherished moments on the front porch with her husband. Her presence was a source of warmth, wisdom, and unconditional love for all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughters Debra (Dennis) Hoecherl and Charlene Bachmann; her sons Terry Ingraham and Robert Ingraham; and her much-loved grandchildren: David Hoecherl, Keith (Loni) Olver, Julie Colon, Denise Hoecherl, Jennifer (Dominic) Rizzo, Robert Bachmann, Crystal Bachmann, Grace (Jake) Caponetto, and Kevin Ingraham.
She also leaves behind her treasured great-grandchildren: Derek, Cadence, Cory, Destyni, Trinity, Austin (Alli), Brooke, Amber, Tristan, Kendall, Joey, Alex, and Luke.
Julie’s life will be celebrated on Friday, August 22, 2025, at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, 3350 Mall Hill Drive, Lakeland, Florida 33810. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 3:00 p.m.
Her love, strength, and legacy live on in the countless lives she touched, and she will be dearly missed by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
