Judith A. Calendine's Obituary
Judith A. Calendine, 75, of Cadillac, Michigan, entered through the portals of Heaven on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 in Lakeland, Florida. She was born December 25, 1941 in Cleveland, Ohio, daughter of the late Elmer and Ruth Kalat and was a graduate of Bedford High School in Bedford, Ohio in 1960. She was married to Richard “Dick” Calendine in 1960. He survives her. Judy was known for her perpetual smile and her volunteer work. Her activities were primarily that of a Christian, wife, mother and general homemaker. She liked to travel, the theater, and play bridge. She attended Temple Hill Baptist Church (Cadillac, MI.) and was an associate member of the First Baptist Church at the Mall in Lakeland, Fl. She was an active member of HIS PLACE Sunday School class.
Surviving besides her husband Dick are two sons, Dale of Ames, IA; and David S. of Pleasanton, CA; four grandchildren, Eric, Shay, Jacob Calendine and a granddaughter Maggi Calendine of Midland. In addition to her parents, Judy was predeceased by her son, Richard L. Calendine.
Funeral Services for Judy will take place at 1 p.m. Friday, March 3, 2017 from the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Home, 1200 West Wheeler St. Midland. Pastor Ray Haselhuhn will officiate with burial to follow in the Midland Cemetery. Judy’s family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 11 a.m. until the services. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider American Diabetes Association or the American Kidney Foundation.
