Juan “John” Rafael Bocardo
Of Polk City, Florida passed away on January 6, 2025, at the age of 59. John and his wife Spicie moved to Winter Garden, Florida 12 years ago and had lived in Polk City for the last 5 years.
He married the love of his life, Spicie Calhoun Bocardo on January 19, 1990.
John Bocardo is a Christian who believes that Jesus is our Savior. He was also a proud American. He loved to fish, cook, and go to the gun range. He also enjoyed traveling and watching his grandsons race BMX. He liked everyone he met and cherished his friends. He adored his family and loved to spend time with them in any way he could.
John will be deeply missed by his wife Spicie Ann Bocardo (nee Calhoun), his children Veronica Lanette Barnes (nee Bocardo), Anthony John Bocardo, Erin Felicia Parker (nee Bocardo), his mother Felicita Iris Russell (nee Pacheco), his grandchildren Zayden Brian Ethiel Brockunier, Makai Oris Edwin Brockunier, Silas John Bocardo, Eva Iris Parker, and Kennedy Josephine Parker. Also survived by his siblings Miguel Angel Bocardo, Sharon Denise Bergemann (nee Russell), William Danny Russell, and Chris Alan Ployhart.
Preceded in death by his father William Danny Russell Sr.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 19, 2025, from 1-3 PM with funeral services to begin at 3 PM, Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home at Serenity Gardens, 3350 Mall Hill Drive, Lakeland, Florida.
