Joyce will forever be remembered, for me, in terms of Joyce & Doug. Doug & Joyce. One of the few couples I know that reflected the true devotion and "oneness" we all should share in holy, beautiful marriage. Joyce, I knew through Doug, the way he talked to her and about her... Always. The Father is honored through what the two of you reflected. It has been an honor to watch and admire you two. My heart is with you Doug. You are my friend and someone I admire and respect greatly. May God bestow strength upon strength upon you oh mighty Man of God.

Joyce was a beautiful person inside and out. Although we were not directly related, she always called me her adopted daughter-in-law and I called her my adopted mother-in-law because of our close relationship and she was my sister-in-law's mother-in-law. But, she truly was like a mother to me. A spiritual mother. Her and Doug have always been a huge spiritual influence to Chad and I and always had an encouraging word to say to us. And she was so loving to our boys. And from time to time she would text me to check on me and would end the text with "I love you more". I will miss those texts and sweet words of encouragement from my dear adopted mother-in-law, Joyce. But, I am so comforted in knowing she is in heaven worshipping the Lord. And she is in that great cloud of witnesses cheering us on. Love and prayers for Doug and all of the family. May God's peace and love surround and fill them all during this time.
