Joseph Hain's Obituary
Joseph "Joe" "Opa" Hain, 81, passed away October 18, 2018 at his Lakeland home. Joe was born in Zsambek, Hungary, May 25, 1937 to parents Franz and Maria Hain. He was preceded in death by sisters Maria, and Eva Hain.
Joe came to the United States in 1959 with wife, Waltraud and daughter Angelika where he had two additional daughters, Karen and Christina. Throughout his career, Joe worked and owned two companies within the sheet metal industry.
In 2003, Joe retired to Lakeland where was a member of the German-American Society of Pinellas Park, and a Director of Silver Lakes Association.
In his spare time he loved playing golf, fishing, and dancing. As a young man he also enjoyed skiing and playing soccer.
Throughout his long life, Joe helped define the true meaning of working hard, being a family man, being genuine, exuding confidence, preaching optimism, achieving success of all forms, and instilling hope in others while improving the lives of everyone around him.
Joe is survived by wife Waltraud, daughters Angelika Dado, Karen Hankins (Robert), and Christina Beck (Richard), and by grandchildren Laura Dado, Joseph Dado, Danielle Dado, Ryan Hankins (Cassandra), and Kevin Hankins. He is also survived by sister Katherina, and brothers, Franz, Rudolf, and Andreas.
Memorial service will take place on November 9, 2018 at 11am at Gentry Morrison Funeral Home 3350 Mall Hill Road, Lakeland.
