LAKELAND - Mr. Joseph L. Aldridge, Sr. passed away on Monday, December 11, 2017. He was born in Lakeland and has been a lifelong resident.
Joe was a partner with Norman Voyles in Voyles Electric Company for many years. Joe enjoyed being Santa Claus for his own children and many others. His grandchildren referred to him as the 'real one.'
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jo Anne Aldridge; daughter, Shawnee Bassarear; son, Joseph L. Aldridge Jr.; brother, James Aldridge; grandchildren, Russell J. and Lacy Jo Aldridge.
Visitation will be Thursday, 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Gentry Morrison Funeral Home, Southside Chapel, 1727 Bartow Road. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lakeland Christian School or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Condolences to the family may be offered at www.gentry-morrison.com
