Johnnie Mae Rogers' Obituary
Johnnie Mae Rogers, 90, of Lakeland, passed away July 30, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, G.M. “Tood” Rogers Jr.
She loved God, her family and all those around her with gentle strength and is strongly loved by many. She was an active member of Highland Park Church.
Born March 30, 1928, in Coffee Co., GA, she was a daughter of the late, Arthur Mae Dees and Ruby Smith Dees. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Art Dees Jr., Robert (Vetra) Dees; sister, Marjorie “Polly” McIntyre; sister-in-law, Jan Dees; and a grandson, Dana Dodge.
Survivors include her son, G.M. “Mitch” (Kay) Rogers III; daughter, Patricia (David) Dodge; brothers, James (Betty) Dees, and Ormond Dees; sister-in-law, Hazel Dees; grandchildren, Jason (Jennifer) Rogers, Lara (Bienvenido) Dodge, and Kelly Rogers; great-grandchildren, Hope, Lili and Chloe Rogers, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2pm Saturday, August 4, 2018, at First United Methodist Church, 72 Lake Morton Dr., Lakeland, 33801.
