John Victor Zilinkas, 85
Lakeland - John Victor Zilinkas, age 85, passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2018. He was a resident of Lakeland since 1999 moving from Eaton, Ohio.
John was born on July 31, 1933 in Dayton, Ohio to Victor and Delores Zilinkas. He worked for Standard Register as a Drafting Printer in Dayton, Ohio for 42 years. He loved being in the outdoors and working in his gardens turning
up the soil with his bare hands. He also enjoyed Bowling, Golfing
and spending time with his pet dogs.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Zilinkas; son, John V. Zilinkas Jr.; step-sons, Douglas (Kara) Corra and Kevin (Judith) Corra; daughters, Stephanie McCullough, Victoria Carter, Karla (Tim) Tadler; sister, Veralyn (Leon) Turner. 19 Grandchildren and 9 Great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Victor and Delores Zikinkas and sisters, Vicki Zilinkas and Pat Zilinkas.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice or Victory Church.
A Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4:00-6:00pm at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, Serenity Gardens Chapel 3350 Mall Hill Dr. Lakeland. A second visitation will be held on Monday from 1:00- 2:00 pm at Victory Church Chapel 1401 Griffin Rd. Lakeland with a Service to follow at 2:00pm.
