John Richard “Rick” Ontko was born in Uniontown, PA, and grew up in Alexandria, VA. After graduating from TC Williams High School, he became a Heating & Air Conditioning technician. Rick met Ellen Fleitz in 1989 and married her in Read Obituary

A friend of Michelle's, I've heard about Rick for many years. His strength and tenacity was inspirational! Sending lots of love to all of the family.
Amazing memories with Rick at all our Halloween parties over the years. He was always up for any adventure - and helping us configure decorations and schemes. I also have a wonderful memory of him staying over at Michelle's house one weekend to watch our dogs (all three of them!) and upon our return, just confounded that they all insisted on sleeping in the bed, and that the cocker, Photon, was on the top of his head the entire night.
