With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of John Michael Hubbard Sr., who departed this life on May 31, 2025, at the age of 66. A beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, John leaves behind a legacy of strength, warmth, and unwavering devotion to those he loved.
Born on January 5, 1959, John grew up with a strong work ethic and deep family values that guided him throughout his life. He was a man of quiet resilience, known for his sharp wit, generous spirit, and the kind of presence that made others feel seen and heard. He dedicated himself to his family, consistently putting others before himself.
John was a father who led with wisdom and humor, always available when needed and endlessly supportive. He was proud of his children and cherished his role as “Papa” to his grandchildren, who brought endless joy to his life. He had a knack for storytelling, a passion for living life to its fullest, and a gentle heart that never went unnoticed.
He is survived by his children Destinee Hubbard-Floyd, John Michael Hubbard Jr, & Vanessa Hubbard, his grandchildren Kourtnee Hubbard, Mekenzie Hubbard, and Johnni Hubbard, and all who were blessed to know and love him. Though he may be gone from our sight, his impact remains etched in our hearts and lives.
A celebration of John’s life will be held Friday June 6, 2025 at 10am.
