Lakeland – John C. Dixon, 83, was born February 4, 1931 in Plant City, FL. He passed away December 22, 2014 due to heart failure. He was a longtime funeral assistant for Gentry-Morrison Funeral Homes, where he took great pride in serving local families.
John is survived by his wife, Joyce Dixon, son, John Christopher Dixon, daughter, Marsha (Michael) Miller Kevitch, brothers, L.T. and Donald Dixon, sister, Jeanette Barker, grandchildren, Katie Heathman and Krista Koskey, and great grandchild, Ella Caroline Heathman.
A visitation will be held on Friday, December 26 from 10-11 am at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home Southside Chapel with a service to follow at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, 3504 Mt. Tabor Rd., Lakeland, FL 33810.
