John was never far from a fishing pole. Casting out a large wild shiner and waiting to see a big bass take the cork under was his idea of a good time. And he did it thousands of times in a long life well-lived. John, always smiling, was glad to share his knowledge of fishing with his children, grandchildren, friends and those who would become friends. I’ll miss talking fishing with John.
Johnny was certainly one of a kind. We loved him at 97 Country. I worked with him there and couldn't wait to tell him what I wanted for Christmas every year when he played our staff Santa Claus. He always gave me a stocking filled with fishing goodies. Rest In Peace Johhny...you were the best! Tunie
