John "Jack" Briggs Sr.'s Obituary
John "Jack" Briggs, Sr., 76, passed away December 3, 2019.
Jack was born in Dennison, Ohio on August 5, 1943, and has resided in Central Florida now for over 60 years. He retired from DOT after 37 years, where he traveled the state of Florida working hurricanes and natural disasters. Jack also worked in recent years at the Bartow Wal Mart. He never met a stranger and would talk to anyone. He enjoyed fishing and playing Texas Holdem.
Jack is survived by his wife, Sandy Briggs; children, John "Scooter" (Patty) Briggs, Jerry (Darby) Briggs, Samantha Sharp, Stephanie (Jason) Sikora and Hollie (Kevin) Fox; grandchildren, Allie, Becca, Jacob, Derienne, Josh, Erica, Anna, Emily-Ryan, Vickie, Miranda, Abbi, Austin, Devin and Dalton; 6 great grandchildren; and his beloved dog, April.
A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, December 10th from 6-8 pm at Gentry Morrison Southside Chapel, 1727 Bartow Road, Lakeland.
