JOEY F. RICHARDS, 68
LAKELAND - Mr. Joey F. Richards, 68, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2015, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center after an extended battle with gastric cancer. He was a bowling enthusiast with several 300 games with a high scratch series of 858. He also coached numerous youth leagues at Orange Bowl Lanes. He graduated from Auburndale High School in 1965, where he participated in track and basketball. He was most proud of winning the individual 1964 Cross Country FHSAA State Championship. Joey is survived by his wife, Debbie; sons, Michael (Ranay), Chad (Stephani), and Ryan (Alison) of Lakeland; daughter, Ashley (Josh) of Gainesville, FL; and brother, Paul Richards (Vanessa) Decatur, TX. He will be greatly missed by his nine beautiful grandchildren, Angelyn, Tristyn, Ethan, Lily, William, Caitlin, Lucas, Leia, and Zoe.
The family will receive friends at Gentry-Morrison Southside in Lakeland on Friday, December 18, 2015, from 5:30p.m. - 7:30p.m. and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2015, at 1:00p.m.
