Jerry Nolan Smith Jr's Obituary
Jerry passed away peacefully March 20th, 2025, next to his loving wife Maureen (Moe). He was born in Lakeland, FL on June 4th, 1965, to Jerry and Sarah Smith.
Jerry had a love for anything fast and great music. His first car being a 1965 mustang. Boy the stories that car could tell!! He also enjoyed going to music festivals and concerts. During football season you could find him cheering on Dallas Cowboys or Alabama, Roll Tide! On the weekends you could find him riding his Harley with his wife Moe but above all else he loved spending time with his family and loved ones.
Jerry attended Lakeland Gibson High School. He was part of the band at LGHS playing the trombone. While still attending high school he got his CDL’s. Working most of his career driving for the City of Lakeland.
Jerry was survived by his loving wife of 25 years Maureen (Moe). Moe was the love of his life. They shared a beautiful love story.
Jerry had a deep love for his family leaving behind his mother Sarah. His children Jenny and Stephen. Four grandchildren Ashlyn (AJ), Ryker, Roscoe and Joslynn and one great granddaughter Austynn. His sister Cynthia (Eric), a niece Brittany (Jesse) as well as two great nieces Addisyn and Cooper. Along with many others who cared for him deeply.
Jerry was preceded in death by his father Jerry, Sr.
To know Jerry was to love Jerry. He was the type of person who made every room better just with his presence. Jerry will be greatly missed.

His celebration of life will be held at Gentry-Morrison South Thursday March 27th, 2025, at 10 am. Family and friends welcome.
