Jerry Phillip Bailey's Obituary
Jerry Phillip Bailey, 69, passed away June 27, 2018.
Born September 29, 1948, in Lawrenceville, GA, to George E Bailey and Christine Herrington Bailey, Phil spent the majority of his life in Florida. After serving an army tour of duty in Viet Nam, Phil settled in Lakeland. He worked in construction and carpentry during his younger days, but as he got older he learned new skills and ended up spending 10 years working for the City of Lakeland in various office jobs. Phil loved fishing, wood working, and listening to blues music.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter Laura Stroup (Keith) Huffstutler; granddaughters Kristen and Megan Huffstutler, his brother Kelley (Barb) Bailey, and his nephews Daniel (Lacey) Bailey and Josh (Nicole) Bailey, and great-nieces Melanie, Kacey, and Harper.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 am on Monday, 07/02/18, at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, Southside with a funeral service immediately following. Phil will be interred at Oak Hill Cemetary.
