Jeanne Marie Hall, 85
Lakeland – Jeanne Marie Hall, 85, passed away on Jan. 25, 2015 due to pancreatic cancer. Born Jeanne Marie Hill, on Jan. 5, 1930 in Marion, OH, to James Gerald Hill and Grace Darlene Worline Hill. She moved to Brooklyn, NY at 4 years old with her family and graduated from Bay Ridge High School at 17. She worked at Dun and Bradstreet and CBS Television in New York City. She married Jim Hall in Sept. 1956 and moved to Huntington, NY in 1958, where they raised their family.
Jeanne was active in the PTA and Girl Scouts. She worked part-time at WGSM radio in Huntington, NY and at an advertising agency, where she coordinated the Columbus Day parades in NYC for several years. Later, she worked full time at Grumman Aerospace as an assistant to the VP for Facilities. She retired with her husband, Jim to Auburndale, FL in 1992. She took up line dancing and became a teacher, performing at several communities for many years, also enjoyed socializing with friends and golfing occasionally.
Jeanne is survived by her beloved family; her husband of 58 years, James John Hall of Lakeland, daughter, Tracey Anne Sweeney of Marlborough, MA, son and daughter-in-law, James Randall Hall and Rebecca Ann Hall of North Potomac, MD, grandchildren, Sean and Kara Sweeney and Ryan and Lindsey Hall, brother, Ronald Hill of Las Vegas, NV, and cousin, Marilyn Smith of Marion, OH.
A memorial service will be held on Wed., Jan. 28, 2015 at 10 am at Emeritus of Oakbridge, 3110 Oakbridge Blvd. E., Lakeland, FL., 33803. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Autism Speaks:
