Jean Fyle's Obituary
My beautiful grandmother Jean Fyle (A.K.A “Mommis”) went home to be with the Lord, January 30th, 2020 in Lakeland, Florida. Jean was born to Charles Allen Canady and Lucille Senn Canady, April 15th, 1935 in Lakeland, Florida. She married the love of her life, Paul Fyle, April 24th, 1953. The two were married for 66 years before his passing last September. Their life together was the true love story of Romeo and Juliet and they couldn’t wait to be together again.
She is survived by daughter Karen O’Neill, son Darel Fyle, Son-in-law Jeff O’Neill, and 3 grandchildren Ashton Essary, Liam Fyle, and Katie Fyle, as well as grandson-in-law Matthew Essary and granddaughter-in-law Rhyann Fyle, and great-granddaughter Alexis Noel. Ashton gave Jean the nickname of “Mommis” as a toddler, because she was like her second mother.
Jean was a devoted Christian and church secretary for 25 years, Junior Sunday School teacher, and long term member of the choir at Griffin Baptist Church in Lakeland, Fl. She was also a proud long term supporter of the ASPCA.
Celebration of life will be held at Oak Hill Burial Park at 2 PM Monday, February 3rd, 2020 followed by an early dinner at Griffin Baptist Church.
Oak Hill Burial Park is past Polk State College to the left. We hope to see you there.
