Jason "Jay" Radachy's Obituary
Jason "Jay" Thomas Radachy, 50 years old, passed away on Thursday afternoon, June 9, 2022, in the comfort of his home.
Jay was born in Wyandotte, Michigan, and raised in Lincoln Park, Michigan until his early 30’s, when he moved to Central Florida. Once in Lakeland, he began working for Ferguson Enterprises, where he dedicated his 20 year career to.
The beach, camping, or fishing is where you could find Jay enjoying some of his most sacred moments, while always sporting one of his new favorite hats.
Jay is survived by his devoted wife of 15 years, Caron Radachy; his daughters, Danielle Radachy and Ashley Radachy Hitchcock (Ian); step-children, Jonathan Kelley (Brittney) and Conner Kelley; and PopPop to grand-son, Jayten Kelley. He is also survived by his loving parents, Daniel and Geralyn Thompson; brother, Joseph Thompson, and a host of family members and friends.
Although his battle with lung and brain cancer was shorter than expected, he optimistically fought through it all. He continued to dance and sing until the end, and his love for Michigan never faltered. “Go Blue!”.
Family and friends are welcome to join for visitation, on Saturday, June 25, 2022 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM, with the memorial service directly following, from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM. This celebration of life will be held at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, located at 3350 Mall Hill Dr., Lakeland, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, family has requested that donations be made in Jay's memory, in support of Lung or Brain Cancer Research, or to help with the fight against Domestic Violence Against Mothers.
