Jan Paul Bollmann's Obituary
Mr. Jan Paul Bollmann, 69, passed away in Lakeland, Florida on Thursday, November 2, 2023.
Jan was born in Dover, New Jersey on July 24, 1954, to parents Edward and Helen (Sudol) Bollmann. He resided in New Jersey throughout his childhood and young adulthood.
Jan graduated from University of Wyoming with a BS in Political Science and became an exceptional paralegal. His work rivaled the attorneys, and he was soon made Senior Paralegal.
In 1989, Jan met Sharon Sturm at a singles tennis party. The two hit it off and became a couple, and the rest is history. They shared 33 wonderful years together.
Jan loved people and loved to laugh. He enjoyed reading, bicycling, and sports. Whether it was golf, basketball, or tennis – if there was a ball involved, Jan was all in. Above all, Jan loved God.
After his retirement in 2017, Jan and Sharon were inseparable. Jan served as an excellent counselor to Sharon and had the gift of lifting her up whenever she was down. The two loved listening to music and laughing together.
Jan and Sharon moved to Lakeland in 2018 and are members of Victory Church. They have received an outpouring of love and support from the community and church family.
Jan is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Sharon; brother Edward Bollmann, and sisters Lorraine and Constance Bollman; many nieces and nephews, as well as numerous extended family and friends.
A memorial service for Jan was held at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, Serenity Gardens Chapel, in Lakeland.
