Here in the UK we have only just learned the sad news that Jim passed away earlier this year. He was our realtor and rental agent for over thirty five years and became a firm friend and trusted advisor over the years.
We learned to call him Tyner, not Jim, and to us, with his courtesy and his humour, he was the epitome of a Southern Gentleman.
We shall remember him with great affection and we miss him dearly.

Tyner and the Tyner’s were a permanent fixture in my life. I have no early memories where they are not part of our lives. To say Tyner was like an uncle to me is not enough. He was a second Dad. He took me to more Dreadnaught games than I could ever count. Then when I was a Dreadnaught he never missed one of my games. As a young adult with a big decision to make may Dad was the first person I talked to...... Tyner was the second. Making fun of you was how he told you he loved you. And he loved me a lot! I will miss him a lot but feel better knowing that he is with my Dad, watching football, making fun of people.... and each other.
Tyner was like another brother to me and Joy was a sister we went on many vacations and shared many a meal together happy times loved all the jokes he was always pulling but he also had a heart of gold and would do anything to help you We were Kathleen fans and of course he was for Lakeland. from the time our son Dean could walk he said he was going to make him a dreadnought so by the time he was five he started driving ten miles to our house to pick him up to take him to games and guess what he made him a dreadnought fan We all loved him and thought of them as family he will be greatly missed

We were in Sunday school and church for many years! We were always together on weekends having a great time with couples from Sunday school!! He will surely be missed!! He will now be with the love of his life!!!

Uncle Jimmy has always been one of my favorite people. He was at the hospital the day both me and my brother were born. He was the funniest man I’ve ever met with the most wicked sense of humor. My heart hurts but I’m glad he and Joy have been reunited in Valhalla. I’ll miss you, Uncle Jimmy. I love you.
Tyner made our move from New Jersey to Florida one of the most memorable times of our life. We trusted sight unseen of where we would settle because we trusted this amazing man to guide us through the transition and then become our friend for many years to come. Thank you Laurie for all you did for us as well! Your Dad will be in our hearts forever.
