James David Tucker's Obituary
James David Tucker, 70, passed away in Lakeland at his home surrounded by family on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. He was born to parents Ulis and Berta (Horsey) Tucker in Ponca City, Oklahoma on October 9, 1953. Known to many as Jim, he grew up on Ormond Beach and moved to Lakeland more than 40 years ago. He became a mail carrier and proudly worked for the U.S. Postal Service for many years. He attended several churches over his lifetime with family and friends including Lakes Church, First Presbyterian, and St. Paul's Lutheran.
Jim met his best friend and current wife Nann Pollock through their mutual friend Madena. They were married on June 20, 2009 and spent over a decade building a life together. He enjoyed many past times such as Nascar, driving his NSX, shooting, beach vacations, and cooking. Jim's favorite time was that with family especially when his grandchildren were around.
Jim is proceeded in his passing by his parents Ulis and Berta Tucker. He is survived by his wife Nann, his son James and wife Jodi, his daughter Jennifer, their mother JoAnne, and grandchildren Aiden, Chloe, Josiah, Seth, Lydia, and Penelope.
