James Stewart Renwick
Went to be with the Lord, September 4, 2022, at the age of 88. Born in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada to William Renwick and Mabel Harrison Renwick. James worked as a Tool and Die maker serving a 4 year apprenticeship at Fisher Gauge Works in Peterborough, Ontario, and then 28 years at Mac-Law Tool and Die in Syracuse, New York, and also Camillus Cutlery in Syracuse, New York. Growing up in Canada, he was an avid hockey fan. He was a goal tender in his early years. His motto was "I wasn't a goal tender for nothing!" He absolutely loved watching the Tampa Bay Lightning and many years of football. He loved spending time in Lake James for 17 years at their home with family and friends. His hobbies were cross country skiing, golfing, bocce ball, ballroom dancing, playing mexican train game and many wonderful years traveling.
He will be greatly missed by the love of his life, his wife of 67 years, Jean Montgomery Renwick; his children Roger Renwick (Emily), Richard Renwick (Patricia) and Lisa Renwick Price (Jimmie); grandchildren Jeffrey (Cindy), Evan (Deana), Tara, Eric (Krystal), Devon (Lauren), Taylor, Morgan, Autumn (Steven), Jimmie (Cheyanne); great grandchildren Nicole, Maxwell, Taylen, Gordon, Madison, Annalisa, Elijah, Audrey, Emily, Andrew and Parker as well as many family and friends.
A memorial celebration will be held on Saturday, September 10th at 2PM, Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home @ Serenity Gardens, 3350 Mall Hill Road, Lakeland, Florida 33810.
