James Wade Lipham's Obituary
James Wade Lipham, 83, a lifelong resident of Kathleen is “Finally Home” with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. He was an ordained Minister and Deacon Emeritus of Kathleen Baptist Church. Beginning in 1967 he served as part time Minister of Music at Kathleen Baptist Church for many years then at Gibsonia Baptist Church, Bethel Baptist Church, Griffin Baptist Church and Mulberry Baptist Church until 2010. He retired from Sears in 1990. Once a Marine, always a Marine. He was also known as “The Voice of the Braves” at Lake Gibson High School from 1979 – 2009. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary, son, Brent (Canette), grandchildren, Lindsay, Emily, Andrew and Aaron, great, grandchildren Briley, Mack and Harper; daughter Beth Ann Cummings (Gene) grandchildren Courtney and Matthew; son Boyd (Brenda) grandchild Hillary; son Blake (Jennifer), grandchildren Alexa and Chase; 2 extended grandchildren, 3 extended great, grandchildren and a half-brother Duane Lipham (Sheri). Simultaneous moments of remembrance will take place on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at each church mentioned above.
