James David Leonard's Obituary
James David Leonard passed away on October 16, 2023, surrounded by his family who were blessed to be by his side as he departed this life. He was an incomparable son, brother, uncle, and friend who touched many hearts throughout his life.
Born July 4, 1989, to Michelle Lee and Doug Leonard, James lived his early life in Florida and Michigan, where he spent his childhood playing baseball and football and being a wonderful role model for his two younger brothers, Matthew and Nicholas. He spent the past decade with the same employer, CVS Health, where he was most recently a Medicare Representative doing what he loved most - helping others in their time of need.
James enjoyed the simplicities of life, like watching college football on Saturdays, relaxing in the pool, video games, Dungeons & Dragons, his favorite movies, and spending quality time with family and friends. He had an unmatched heart and was often called a gentle giant. Generous and kind, with a wonderful sense of humor and an unrivaled knowledge of history and trivia, James had a soul and mind that will forever be missed.
James is preceded in passing by grandparents James and Jane. He is survived by his parents, Michelle (Charles) and Doug (Karen), his brothers Matthew (Kaelyn) and Nicholas (Ashley), nephews Beckett, Rockston, and Owen, grandparents Arretta and David, and step-sisters Jenifer (Trent) and Ashley (Bryan).
We invite those who loved James to join the family for visitation at 10 a.m. at Gentry Morrison Funeral Home on Bartow Road, with service to follow.
