James F. Freeman, Jr.
Lakeland – James F. Freeman, Jr., 77, was called home on March 18, 2017.
Mr. Freeman was born in Stanaford, West Virginia on December 6, 1939. He moved to the Lakeland area in 1981 from Beckley, West Virginia. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Military Police, and later a graduate of Marshall University. Mr. Freeman retired from the banking industry, and was an avid golfer and sports fan. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
Mr. Freeman is survived by his children, James Freeman, III and Kristi Elliott; mother, Eva Freeman; sister, Barbara Monk; grandchildren, Savannah Freeman and Ashlie Elliott; great nephews, Stephen (Melissa) Pace, II and Jackson Farmer; great great nephew, Charles Forest Pace; and nieces, Cheri (Ted) Farmer and Terri (Carl) Magee. He was preceded in death by his father, James F. Freeman, Sr.
Services will be held in West Virginia at a later date.
