James R. Elliott
Mr. James R. Elliott (Jim) passed on to his heavenly home on October 2nd, 2018 at Life Path Hospice, Sun City Center, FL at the age of 92.
He was preceded in death by his wives, Julia Irene and Mildred Jean and his son James Mark Elliott. Survivors include his children, Pamela Erbaugh and her husband Bruce, Gail Murray and her husband Joel, Jefferey and his wife Patti; step children, Joan Suchland, Janice Archer and Wayne Mullenix; Seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Jim was formerly of Troy, Ohio where he raised his family and retired from B.F. Goodrich after 35 years. He resided until his death in Zephyrhills and Lakeland, Florida. He loved playing golf and rooting for Ohio State football. Jim was one of the biggest fans!
He served in the United States Navy on the U.S.S. Belleau Wood during WWII in the Pacific campaign from 1943-1946. Jim and his wife Jean were devoted members of the Lake Gibson Nazarene Church in Lakeland, FL. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. His greatest gift and legacy to his family and all those who knew him was his faithful love and joy for The Lord Jesus Christ!
Please join us in this celebration of his life on Saturday, November 3rd, 2018 at 11:00am at Gentry Morrison Funeral Home, Serenity Gardens Chapel, 3350 Mall Hill Dr. Lakeland, FL. Burial with military honors will take place on Monday, November 5th, 11:30 am at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. Contributions may be made to Life Path Hospice at Sun City Center.
