James Byron Baker's Obituary
Lakeland-James Byron Baker, age 58 passed away on December 5, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on February 3, 1959 in Statesville, NC a son of Sarah Shull and the late Byrne B. Baker.
He was a Professional Environmental Engineer and a graduate of the University of Florida, he was a member of the Church of Resurrection in Lakeland, President of Florida Engineer Society and Rotary, Paul Harris Fellow, and a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus.
James is survived by his loving wife Rebecca; sons, Jarrett, Travis, Jared, Daniel; Daughter In-laws, Kristen, Rebecca, Regan, Melissa , Aurora; Brother, John; Sisters, Bonnie and Sherri; Grandchildren, Wesley, Isaiah, Brayden, Mollie.
He was preceded in death by a grandson Lincoln.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 10, 2017 from 1-3:30 p.m. at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Homes, Serenity Gardens Chapel in Lakeland. Funeral will be on Monday, December 11, 2017 at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Resurrection in Lakeland. Burial will be in Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell at 2 p.m.
