Lakeland- Jackie Purcell, 83, passed away on November 16, 2017 in Lakeland, Florida surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Lakeland, Florida on October 20, 1934. Jackie was a supervisor in the Phosphate Industry and a Marine Veteran. He was a member of St. John Nuemann Catholic Church, Gator Booster and of the Elks Club. Jackie is survived by his wife, Gladys Purcell; sons, John Purcell Jr. and Kenny (Melody) Purcell; daughter, Cindy (Mike) Johnson; brother, Jimmy Purcell; sisters, Joan Bailey and Jerri Myers; 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cornerstone Hospice in Lakeland.
