LAKELAND - Jack James Horner, age 51, passed away at his home surrounded by family on the night of January 25, 2015. He lost his fight to brain cancer. He was born in Lakeland, FL, on May 27, 1963. He graduated from Kathleen Senior High School, class of 1981, and married his high school sweetheart in 1982. Jack worked as a truck driver and served in the United States Air Force from 1988-1991. He was a drummer who loved music. He also enjoyed spending time at Disney with his family and also running the Disney marathon races. He was a Christian man who deeply loved his family and friends. He always had a wonderful sense of humor! He was preceded in death by his father William Horner and his sister Holly Horner. He is survived by his mother Dorothy Horner, wife Janice Gay Horner, son Joshua Horner (Tiffany Horner), daughter Pamela Horner, sister Karen Horner (Dave Ansel), brother William Horner (Karen Herr-mann), sister Dori Kochenburger. He also had a niece Nicole Kochenburger, and nephew Neil Kochenburger. Jack also had a granddaughter Mackenzie Rae Horner, born in 2013. A memorial service will be held on January 31, 2015, at 11:00am at Faith Assembly of God located at 4240 North Frontage Rd., Plant City, FL, 33565. A gathering celebrating the life of Jack Horner will be held at the social hall on site.
