Irene M. Kennelly's Obituary
Lakeland – Irene M. Kennelly, 85, passed away on Christmas Day Dec. 25, 2015 at Wedgewood Healthcare Center where she resided for the past three months. Irene was born on February 28, 1930 in Brooklyn, New York. Prior to moving to Florida she lived in Tupper Lake, NY and worked at Sunmount Development Center for several years. When she moved to Lakeland Irene was employed with Summit Consulting Company until her retirement. She has lived in Florida for the past 38 years. Irene enjoyed gardening, swimming and attending shows at the Lakeland Center with friends. She especially enjoyed spending extra quality time with her two grandsons Matthew and Dillon Kirkland of Lakeland, Fla. She was predeceased by her loving husband Joseph F. Kennelly, One son Robert A. Reid and a daughter Beatrice A. Reid. Survivors are her sons Kenneth Reid and Mary Miller Marks of Massena, NY, Steven and Lisa Reid of Lake Placid, NY, and two daughters, Maggie Little of Omaha, NE and Elizabeth Pitcher of Lakeland, FL, 9 grandchildren and a close childhood friend Rose Mary Murray of NYC.
A Funeral Mass will be conducted Sat. Jan. 2nd at 10 am at St. Clement Catholic Church, 1104 N. Alexander St. Plant City, FL 33563. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Irene M. Kennelly’s name to the Good Shepherd Hospice of Lakeland, FL.
