Hubert "Hobie" Dampier's Obituary
Hobie enjoyed a simple life and was the true definition of a free spirit. Although he was raised in Florida, it was the Western part of the country that captured his heart. He spent many years as a wrangler on Dude and Guest Ranches, caring for and training horses. He fell in love with the people, landscape and lifestyle, making his time there the happiest days of his life.
He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, James “Jim” and Georgia Hutton, his biological father, Harry F. Dampier and his sister, Susan Dampier.
He is survived by his brother, Harry “Pete” Dampier, nephews, James “Dustin” and Joshua Dampier and dearest and closest friend, Donna Pipkins.
So for now we say goodbye. Happy trails Hobie…’til we meet again.
