Uncle Ray and my Papaw, (Doug Aldridge) were more like brothers than Uncle Ray being his actual Uncle. I would love sitting around Papaw’s breakfast table having coffee and hearing all the stories. Stories of Uncle Ray, Uncle Bordy, and Papaw picking guitars through out the years and all the gatherings playing bluegrass. One of my memories of Uncle Ray was the summer of 2008 I believe living with my grandparents and they took my on a road trip to see uncle Ray and Aunt Joyce. It was a wonderful time getting to see their original house they owned to having meals together and seeing Pam’s gorgeous new home. Not many people can say they had a Great Great Uncle and to be such a kind and wonderful man like my Uncle Ray is something special. Love you very much Uncle Ray and until we meet again keep a picking those gorgeous bluegrass tunes with our Lord and savior. Love Wildman
My heart is with all of you today, I wish I could have been there. I will forever remember Uncle Ray at the pasture where we had the bluegrass gatherings. He would smile from ear to ear while playing guitar with Dad. Those are my most precious memories of him. You will always be in my heart Uncle Ray.
