Hilda Tyner Partin's Obituary
Hilda Tyner Partin (92) of Lakeland, went home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. Hilda Bea, or Nannie, as she was known to so many, was a certified orthodontist assistant for more than 35 years, first starting with Dr. Prosser until his death and finishing her career with Dr. John Stanton. After retiring from the dental field, Hilda directed over 200 church weddings, never charging anyone for her services, as she loved to give of herself to help others. She was known for the wonderful Southern foods she loved to cook, especially her strawberry cake made from scratch. Hilda loved Jesus first, and then her husband of 64 years, David J. Partin, Sr. who preceded her in death on March 3rd, 2021, along with her children and their families. Hilda and Dave loved to go camping with a group of friends from church, going out to eat and just hanging out, who proudly called themselves, “The Dirty Dozen”. She is survived by her daughter, Julie Sannicandro (husband, Vince) and her son, David J. Partin, Jr (wife, Kelly), 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and her sister, Sue Smith also of Lakeland. Hilda was a member of First Baptist Church of Lakeland which was on North Florida Avenue and later moved to Memorial Blvd. and was renamed Church at the Mall. It is now known as Lakes Church. Funeral service will be November 22nd at Gentry-Morrison South in Lakeland. Viewing will be 10am. Funeral at 11am, with a graveside service following. I lieu of flowers, please make a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
