Helen "Noni" M. Snoderly's Obituary
Helen Merlino Snoderly, 90, passed away with family by her side on Wednesday, April 19, 2023.
Helen, who her loved ones referred to as “Noni”, is a Florida native, born in Plant City to parents Frank and Leona (Corbett) Merlino on November 14, 1932.
She married Wiley L. Watkins and they raised their 4 children in the Temple Terrace area.
She loved painting, card games, sewing, and listening to old records.
Helen was an independent and determined woman. She loved fiercely, especially when it came to family. Her family meant the world to her.
Her utmost pride and joy was being beloved Noni to her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Noni is preceded in death by her parents, sister Carmen Swartz, brother Frank Merlino, first husband Wiley L. Watkins, second husband Harold Snoderly, and son Scott Watkins.
She is survived by daughters Stephaine Wargo, Charisse Sheppard, and Christine Anderson; grandchildren Nicole Weinfurter, Courtney (Taryn) Fabian, Dane (Molly) Wargo, Steve Wargo, Joshua Anderson, Mackenzie (Kali) Anderson, Brian (Jade Roselli) Anderson, Joseph Sheppard and Clayton Sheppard; Great Grandchildren Hannah, Hunter, Addison, Emerson, Madison, Merlin, Arthur, Tyler, Savannah, Olivia, Jackson and Clark; and nieces Melaine and Valerie Swartz.
A visitation will be held on Monday, April 24, 2023 from 9:30-10:00AM, followed by a funeral service and celebration of life at 10:00AM, at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, Serenity Gardens Chapel, 3350 Mall Hill Dr, Lakeland, FL 33810. There will be a funeral procession to Oaklawn Cemetery in Plant City following the service, where Noni will be laid to rest next to her son, Scott.
