Lawrenceville, GA – Helen Joyce Simmons, 82, passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 due to complications from pneumonia. She was born in Virgie, KY to Bessie and Claude Kilgore. Joyce lived in Florida with her beloved husband, Henry for many years, before moving to Georgia to live with her daughter, Brenda. She and Henry loved to travel the roads in their motor home. She also managed a Senior Living Park in Polk City, FL. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed. Joyce is preceded in death by her husband, Henry. Survivors include her daughters, Brenda (Jim) Langston of Suwanee, GA, Kathy (Leon) Hall of Arcadia, FL, Shelley (Glen) Davis of Auburndale, FL ; son, Vance (Onilda) Hardiman of Miami, FL; grandchildren, Stacy (Gina) Hall, Becky Steele, Brandi (Josh) Wilson, Lisa (Jeff) Williams, J.R. (Marcy) Barden, Melissa Hardiman, Nicole Hardiman, Samantha Davis; great grandchildren, Devyn, Braden, Austyn, Layton, Austin, Autumn, Jonathan, Ella, Wyatt, Grant, Quorra and Tyler. Visitation will be Sat. 10 – 11 am with a service to begin at 11 am at Gentry Morrison Funeral Home, Southside Chapel, 1727 Bartow Rd. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Burial Park.
