Heath M. Buczek's Obituary
Heath M. Buczek, (48), of Lakeland, Florida passed away unexpectedly on March 1, 2023. He was born on June 26, 1974 to William Buczek and Donna Duhamel in Biloxi, Mississippi. He was an amazing Dad, loving son and brother, and devoted friend to those who knew and loved him dearly.
As a single dad, his daughter, Khloe, was the “light of his life” and he loved her deeply. Heath exhibited a great sense of humor as he was always joking around with his brother and friends.
Heath graduated with honors from Lake Gibson High School in 1992 where he played the saxophone in the marching band. After graduation, he attended Utah Valley University where he graduated with a degree in Behavioral Science in 2000.
Heath had many diverse hobbies and interests throughout his life. He was a Boy Scout member of Troop 557 and achieved the Eagle Scout award in 1992. Heath also served a mission in Poland for the Church of Jesus Christ and became fluent in Polish. He loved flying airplanes and earned his private flying license while living in Utah. He also enjoyed playing video games and baking cakes and brownies. In addition to playing basketball, Heath also liked watching the sport and was an avid fan of Michael Jordan. He would always say that the ‘90s Chicago Bulls were the best basketball team ever! Being a fan of the Gators, he always followed the football and basketball games.
Heath is survived by his daughter Khloe Buczek, his brother Scott Buczek and his wife Briana, and niece and nephew Kyla and Cole. He is also survived by his sister Jenna Aponte, mother, Donna Aponte and father William Buczek.
Heath’s family will host a memorial service at 7:00 P.M. on Friday, March 10th at the Church of Jesus Christ located at 1839 Gibsonia-Galloway Rd, Lakeland, FL 33810. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Khloe’s Go Fund Me.
