Hager Gullett Jr., 69, of Lakeland, Florida went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on 7/16/2015 after a courageous fight with MDS/Leukemia.
Hager was born in Salyersville, Kentucky on August 24, 1945. He moved to Lakeland when he was 14 years old.
Hager is preceded in death by his son, Lance; 4 sisters and 2 brothers. Hager survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Carolyn Helms Gullett; sons, Timothy (Karen), Scott (Kim), Robby (Lisa), and Brian (Kathryn); 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; 1 brother and 2 sisters.
As Founder/Owner of Gullett Energy Roof Coatings, he operated his family owned business for 35 years. Hager was an active member of Outreach Baptist Church. As one who enjoyed sports, he played softball into his 40's. Hager loved golf and played it well. He even made 5 hole-in-ones (Now that's worth bragging about!). His family meant the world to him.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Outreach Baptist Church (Building Fund) 11425 Rockridge Rd., Lakeland.
A visitation will be held on Monday, 7/20/15 from 6:00 – 8:00pm at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, 3350 Mall Hill Drive, Lakeland. Services for the celebration of Hager’s life on Tuesday, 7/21/15 at 10:00 am in the funeral home chapel.
