Gregory Rousseau's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gregory Rousseau
on June 13, 2025 in Lakeland Florida at the age of 49.
Born on September 05, 1975, in Les Cayes, Haiti, Gregory was a beloved son, grandson, brother, nephew,
cousin, uncle, a great friend, a true pillar of strength, love and hope who touched the lives of many.
Gregory was a kind-hearted spirit with an exceptional ability to connect with just about anyone. He
possessed a brilliant mind and an empathetic heart. He selflessly dedicated himself to the well-being and
happiness of those around him, whether it is a friend, a family member or a complete stranger. His love
for humanity was truly inspiring,
Gregory
’
s commitment to education and personal growth led him to a successful career at the Polk,
Osceola and Orange County Department of Health where he served as Business Manager, Business
Consultant, Finance and Accounting Director for over two decades. In these roles, he spearheaded
numerous initiatives that has tremendously impacted these communities.
A natural born leader, Gregory
’
s ability to lead extended beyond his position and title at the DOH, he
willingly volunteered his time and knowledge as organizational consultant to business owners and
community leaders. Gregory was a fierce advocate for vulnerable populations, he made it his mission to
foster and empower underprivileged communities by helping individuals achieve their full potential.

s ceaseless dedication, his generous and unwavering commitment leave a lasting example that
we can only try to emulate.
Gregory is survived by his siblings, Magalie, Carla and Carlito Rousseau;

A funeral gathering in honor of Gregory Rousseau will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 11 am at Serenity Gardens Chapel. The address is: 3350 Mall Hill Drive, Lakeland, FL 33810.
The chapel location is within the cemetery on the west side.
