Glen Stalvey's Obituary

Glen Stalvey, 91, went to be with the Lord March 23, 2018.
Born Sept. 26, 1926, in Plant City, off Taylor Rd., he lived in the area most of his life. Glen met the love of his life, Eula, while on a short stay in West Palm Beach, at the age of 16. They went together from that time on. He was drafted into the Army at the end of WWII and was married at age 19, she 17, just as he was shipped over-seas. Upon discharge they came back to Lakeland and raised their family. He worked for the railroad 38 years. Glen was preceded in death by his wife, of over 70 years, Eula Mae Stalvey; daughter, Carolyn Benton; son, Roger (Joanne) Lee Stalvey.
He is survived by a daughter, Lorrel Stalvey; son, Glen Alan (Bessie) Stalvey, 12 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held in his honor at North Lakeland Baptist Church, 306 Wilder Rd., April 7, at 11am.
