Genelle Green Dickey's Obituary
Genelle Green Dickey, 91, went to the Lord on Mar. 3, 2018.
Born in Peach, TN, she grew up in Lawrenceburg, moving to Lakeland, FL in 1959. She was a member of Southwest Church of Christ. She cherished spending time with her family and enjoyed growing roses. In her last years, she was lovingly cared for at the home of Pat and Melody, passing in her sleep.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Roscoe Dickey; grandson Daniel Vavra III; and great-grandson, Lucas Nettles. She is survived by her children, Mike (Ann) Dickey, Pat (Melody) Dickey and Martha (Dan) Vavra; grandchildren, David Dickey, Jennifer (James) Stovall, Amy (Gregg) Gamester, Gwen (Robbie) Nettles, Marybeth (Shayne) Soderstrom; and great-grandchildren, Brittany, Levi, Devin, Mackensie, Mason, Claire, Owen, Ben, Hannah, Nora, Theo and Holly.
Visitation will be Friday at 9 am with services to follow at 10 am at Gentry Morrison Funeral Home, Serenity Gardens Chapel. Interment will follow at 1:30 pm at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
