Frederick C. Leary's Obituary
Lakeland – Frederick C. Leary, 77, passed away Jan. 11, 2018.
Fred was born on Dec. 13, 1940 in Boston, MA. He moved to the Lakeland area from Maine 16 years ago to Schalamar Creek. He was an avid golfer and woodworker, and was a retired tool and die maker for Polaroid. Fred served his country in the U.S. Marines.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Margaret Leary; children, Pamela Hood and Leif O’Leary; step son, David (Norma) Goershel; brothers, Harold and Roger Leary; sisters, Beverly Gendron and Margaret Leary; grandchildren, Jessica Waitz, James Waitz, Cameron Goershel and Christopher Goershel.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Arnold, Donald and Raymond Leary.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the COPD Foundation.
