Frederick "Tony" Battaglia's Obituary
Frederick “Tony” Battaglia Jr., 62 was born on January 16, 1961, in Bayshore, New York. Tony was a wonderful man who loved his family and country. He was highly skilled in the autobody profession and would drop what he was doing to help loved ones in his life with their car troubles and anything else anyone needed. His family would describe Tony as one of the most talented men they have ever known. He enjoyed family get togethers, had a big heart, was sensitive and caring even through difficult times.
Tony loved cars and enjoyed going to the drag races with his sons. He liked to cook and read books by Nelson DeMille, was a music and audio enthusiast, collector and enjoyed discussing and learning about world history. He was so dedicated to learning that he went back to school at the age 56 to obtain his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Southeastern University in 2018. He enjoyed traveling. He visited the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, California, Mount Rushmore and loved the West Coast.
Beloved son to Loretta Provost (Stepfather - Byron Provost), devoted father to Cole and Corey Battaglia, adored brother of Theresa Archila (Husband - Joe Archila), brother Gary Battaglia, and sister Dawn Battaglia. He is preceded in death by his father Frederick Anthony Battaglia Senior.
Viewing will be held at 10am on Thursday, January 4th, 2024, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 820 Marcum Road, Lakeland, Fl 33809 with Mass to follow at 11am. Please send flowers to Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home at Serenity Gardens or donations can be sent to his sons, Cole and Corey Battaglia in lieu of flowers to help aid in covering memorial expenses.
