Freddie "KOFA" Lee's Obituary
Freddie C. Lee, 68, beloved father, papa, brother & uncle, passed away on Sunday, February 11th, 2024.
Freddie was born in Waycross, GA to Caroll Lee and Mary Lumley on May 31st, 1955. The family moved to Lakeland, FL when Freddie was a teenager. Freddie graduated from Kathleen High School in 1973. He held many trades to include train operator at the phosphate mines and later an industrial electrician in which he traveled the southeast and southwest working in the trade.
Freddie enjoyed racing cars in his early days. He loved fishing, NASCAR, gardening, his beloved dogs and most importantly his family. Freddie was of Baptist faith.
Freddie is proceeded in death by his father Carroll Lee, his mother Mary Lumley, and his stepfather Billy Lumley.
He leaves behind three kids: Alan Lee (Melissa), Frank Lee (Beth) and Shannon Lee (Mike); brother Bruce Lee; sister Brenda George; three grandchildren: Dustin, Christy, and Gunner; two great grandchildren with one on the way; and his beloved dog, Bo.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024 from 10:00-11:00 AM, with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 AM, at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, Serenity Gardens Chapel.
Flowers can be sent to Gentry- Morrison at Serenity Gardens or in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Polk County SPCA or American Heart Association.
