Fayre P. Ringler's Obituary
Fayre P. Ringler was born to Captain Luke R. and Madeline A. Parker of Cambridge, Maryland, on May 21, 1940. She was the youngest of four daughters. She is remembered on the Eastern shore by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and their children, along with several lifelong friends. She attended schools in Cambridge, Maryland, graduating from Cambridge High School in 1958. On April 16, 1960, she married Terry A. Ringler of Easton, Maryland. They made homes together in Easton and Hagerstown, Maryland; Grand Rapids, Michigan; and Lakeland, Florida. Together they enjoyed traveling to many state parks, historic East Coast cities, and to visit friends as far away as the Republic of South Africa. Most importantly they enjoyed studying the Bible, and serving others together.
She is survived by her husband of fifty-nine years; her two children Joseph P. Ringler of Lakeland, Florida, and Jennifer (Ringler) Regehr of Cary, North Carolina; her son-in-law Michael F. Regehr; and three treasured grandchildren: Andrew M. Regehr, Luke B. Regehr, and Jessica G. Regehr all of North Carolina.
Known as Faye to her friends and family, she was generous with her gifts of teaching, cooking, and decorating. She was always teaching, whether as an elementary school teacher with a bachelor’s degree in education from Salisbury State Teachers College, as a Sunday school teacher, or sharing how to make her signature chicken pot pie with friends in her kitchen.
She loved children and spent many years nurturing her own children, grandchildren, and those in the nanny positions she held. She shared her love of the Lord with all of them. She was committed to making them feel loved and secure while sharing how to live as a child of God in anticipation of sharing an eternal home with them.
Faye was an avid reader and gladly shared book recommendations. She enjoyed home decorating, watching baseball, jigsaw and Sudoku puzzles, and attending her grandchildren’s theatre plays and athletic games. Faye enjoyed sewing clothes, costumes, and gifts for her family. She died February 26, 2020, surrounded by family knowing God’s plan for her was perfect.
