Fay Winters Donahue's Obituary
Fay Winters Donahue, 84, after a 4 year fight against Congestive Heart Failure, Breast Cancer, and Lung Cancer, Fay Winters Donahue surrounded by family quietly passed away on April 12, 2017.
She was born January 15, 1933 in Malone, NY to Emery M. Winters and Winifred Tuper Winters. Fay grew up and attended school in Bombay, NY. She graduated from Bombay High School Class of 1951 with a Regents Diploma in Music. She attended Central City Business Institute in Syracuse, NY and was employed in a number of Office Positions.
She was married to David Donahue at St. Joseph’s Church in Bombay, NY on October 10, 1953. At the time of her death they had been married for Sixty-Three and a half years.
Fay is survived by her husband David, children: Stephen and his wife Traci of Kapolei, HI, Kelly Hatcher and her husband Mike of Mount Juliet, TN, Andrew and his Wife Lisa of Arlington, TN, Jennifer and her husband Tony of Elkridge, MD; Peter and his wife Laura of Fox Point, WI, 16 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, sisters: Mrs. Eileen Bouyea (Bob) of Plattsburg, NY and Mrs. Eleanor Herrick (ray) of Lakeland, FL, and a host of other family and friends.
She was a member of St. Joseph’s Parish and St. Anthony’s Parish in Lakeland, FL.
She was an accomplished musician and pianist, but her first love and concerns were for her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other family members, and all of her friends.
Her Family wishes to thank and bless everyone who aided in Fay’s care at Watson Clinic, Watson Cancer and Women’s Center, Lakeland Regional Medical Center, Carpenter Rehabilitation Center, and Good Shepherd Hospice.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude’s, the American Cancer Society, or the America Heart Association.
A Funeral Mass is scheduled on May 1st 2017 at 10:30 am at St. Anthony’s Church, 820 Marcum Road in Lakeland, FL.
