EVELYN PRESTON, 84
LAKELAND - Evelyn Preston passed away on Wednesday May 21, 2014 due to heart failure. She was born in Lake Butler, FL and has been a lifetime resident of the Lakeland area. Evelyn worked as a sales clerk at Sears and Roebuck for over 30 years in Lakeland. She was of Baptist faith. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Preston. Survivors include her sons, Jeff (Michelle) Preston, John (Debbie) Preston, both of Lakeland, FL, Larry (Gloria) Preston of Savannah, GA; daughter, Irene (Brooke) Meares of Dacula, GA; brother, Ernest Bagley; sister, Pauline Whitman, both of Lakeland; 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday (today), 6:00 - 8:00pm at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, Southside Chapel, 1727 Bartow Rd. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, 10:00am at the funeral home chapel.
