Evelyn Morgan Dail's Obituary
Evelyn Morgan Dail, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, was born in Madison and moved to Lakeland at a very young age, where she would build a life centered around family, faith, and community.
Evelyn graduated from Kathleen High School in 1964 and later became a member of the Lakeland Realtors Association. On February 25, 1965, she married the love of her life, Rodney Dail, beginning a devoted marriage that lasted 61 wonderful years.
Evelyn found her greatest joy in spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.
She loved traveling and was proud to have visited every state in the United States except Wisconsin, Minnesota, and North Dakota. Her adventurous spirit and love for making memories with those she loved will always be remembered.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Rodney Dail; her son, Travis Dail (Renee); and her cherished grandchildren, Morgan, Noah, and Amelia. She is also survived by her sisters, Linda Currey and Margie Birdsong, and her brother, Denny Morgan.
She was preceded in death by her son, “Baby Roddy,” Rodney Dail Jr., and her daughter, Deanna Bridges.
Evelyn will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her legacy of love, strength, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home at Serenity Gardens.
