Lakeland – Mr. Gene Wyndham, 76, passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 due to heart failure. He was born in Walterboro, South Carolina to Eugene S. and Mary Cook Wyndham. Gene worked as a warehouse supervisor for Publix for many years. He was a member of First Baptist Church at The Mall where he served as Assistant Director to The Compassion House for 13 years. Gene was also a veteran of the US Air Force. He is survived by daughters, Julie (Randy) Ross of Bartow, FL, Kim Tyler of Buffalo, NY; sons, Todd Tyler of Buffalo, Carl Wyndham, Eddie Wyndham both of Bartow, FL; brother, Ossilee Wyndham of Ridgeland, SC; sister, Cassie Tillery of Polk City, FL; 10 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild; very close friends, Billy Finefrock, Rod Guinup, Mike & Carol Heisler and Keith Marr. Visitation will be Saturday, 10 – 11am at First Baptist Church at The Mall, 1010 E. Memorial Blvd. Funeral services will follow at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Compassion House, 1010 E. Memorial Blvd. Lakeland, FL 33801.
