Essex E. Robbins' Obituary
Lakeland – Essex Robbins, 79, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2016. He was born in Patrick County, Virginia, but spent much of his life in Delaware. He later moved to Lakeland, Florida. Essex was a welder in the Iron industry. He also served in the United States Army, and enjoyed playing his guitar.
He is survived by his wife, Norma Robbins; children, Danny Robbins, Bobby Robbins, John Morley, Essex “Mann” Robbins, Jr., Terri Haslam, Cammy Dehoyos, Margaret Sprikle, Allison Robbins, and Jeannie Bigler; brother, Don Robbins; sister, Sally Rorrer, 25 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
A visitation will be held Tuesday July 5, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. with a funeral service to follow at 10:00 a.m. at Gentry-Morrison Southside Chapel, 1727 Bartow Road, Lakeland, Florida. Interment at Florida National Cemetery.
